Leah Smejkal
Physical Therapist, PT, MPT, LAT, CMTPT
Leah not only has excellent physical therapy skills, but she is also a licensed athletic trainer. She often covers sporting events for the Clintonville, Marion and Shawano school district. She works full time as an instructor and as the Program Director for the Physical Therapy Assistant program at Northwestern Technical College in Green Bay. She became a physical therapist because she had a strong interest in the human body and helping others understand how to best take care of themselves to remain active.
She has a special interest in working with athletes due to her training and background, but loves the opportunity to work at Orthopedic & Spine Therapy because of the variety of different conditions of all ages, as it keeps her motivated to continue learning. “I love to increase my skills to make sure that I continue to grow as a professional and provide high quality care. It is important to help a patient understand their health condition and how to be an active participant in their healing.”
Leah loves spending time with her three children and her husband, Ben. She is originally from the Embarrass/Clintonville area, and enjoys hiking, paddle boarding, kayaking, watching her kids participate in sports, and just being outdoors.
